Description of the Workshop

"The Future of the World of Work" will be presented in six session. The theme of this year's conference was chosen to help us become better prepared to assist our clients and/or students navigate an ever more rapidly changing world of work. With this in mind we will be offering three presentations, two panels and one session including case study presentations and facilitated attendee sharing of best practices.

Keynote Presentation  |  Hacking the Career Code in the New World of Work Come and learn about the forces re-shaping how work is done in our organizations and the impact on current and future employees.  Andrea will share stories about what her clients are facing each and every day - how they are being forced to rethink their work and what skills, knowledge and competencies are needed for the future. She will share tips on how best to prepare current and future employees for career and business success in this new world of work.
Presenter - Andrea Walsh As a Director in the Chicago office of Willis Towers Watson, Andrea leads discussions with clients regarding the Future of Work and attraction, retention, and engagement of the global workforce. And, where Andrea has led global talent initiatives for clients in various industries, including Oil and Gas, Retail, Pharmaceutical and Healthcare you can expect her to share global and future focused perspectives on the integration of cutting edge technological advances into the world of work.

- Cassandra Wirth Cassandra is an Economist with the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. And, in her capacity as a member of the Midwest Economic Analysis and Information Unit, involved with data analysis and outreach for the Bureau in the 10-state Midwest region, she will share the latest BLS  employment projections.

Panel and Discussion  |  The Integration of Career and Mental Health Counseling Interventions Session Moderator

-JonniRose Lukenbill-Bowles, MS, LPC, NCC, BCC This session will include the presentation of case studies from ICDA members to be followed by discussion and     sharing of attendees’ best practices used when integrating career and mental health models and techniques. A document including the best practices shared during this session will be shared with attendees following the conference.
